v67 v68 3 3 == May 17, 2012 == 4 4 5 Following up on Nigel's work on false positive/star correlations , I used the most recent finalsynthtest footprint reduction to match false positives (the 19624 detections that have good flags, are qf perfect, and are above the 5-sigma limit, but are only detected one time) against the stars in the synthetic catalog (to avoid bright stars that have erroneous PS1 REFCAT magnitudes)5 Following up on Nigel's work on false positive/star correlations (http://ps1sc.ifa.hawaii.edu/PS1wiki/index.php/DRAVG_telecon#False_detections_on_czw.sas2.20120509), I used the most recent finalsynthtest footprint reduction to match false positives (the 19624 detections that have good flags, are qf perfect, and are above the 5-sigma limit, but are only detected one time) against the stars in the synthetic catalog (to avoid bright stars that have erroneous PS1 REFCAT magnitudes) 6 6 7 7 [[Image(false_positive_star_cor.png,400px)]]
