Background Model and Oversubtraction on GPC1 Images
Bill identified an image from the CNP dataset which was generating large numbers of detections and taking an extremely long time to process. Checking into this, I discovered that there is a problem with the source detection, particularly in cases where the background model is unable to follow the structures in the background, and when the image quality is poor (large FWHM). At a suggestion from Michael Wood-Vasey, I have added an additional source filtering which appears to improve this situation.
