| | 36 | * The postage stamp server got very busy this week. MPIA submitted about 300,000 stamp jobs. Spent quite a bit of time prioritizing things and making sure that their higher priority jobs got through. Spent some time adjusting the task timings and the various queue depths are not optimal for the situation where there are so many jobs outstanding when the cluster is not busy. |
| | 37 | * Staticsky: Did some more research into the large footprint problem. It turns out that these are being found when the unconvolved stack images are searched for detections. Analyzing the convolved images does not lead to this problem. Also investigated why psphot doesn't have this problem on warp stage images from busy areas. The answer is that the chip gaps in single exposure images prevent footprints from crossing chip boundaries. Setting footprint growth radius to 0 for pass to prevented the large footprints from being formed. |
| | 38 | * Staticsky for the recent LAP data, run with the improved background matching is nearly complete. |
| | 39 | * Investigated reports of astrometry failures near the pole. They turned out to be image quality problems, not astrometry problems. |
| | 40 | * Started working on a program to restore the uncensored camera stage outputs. Given the various data loses over the past couple of years this must be done carefully to avoid making data unavailable for update. |
| | 41 | * Generated chip stage images with the astrometric fit installed for the outreach program. |
