Description
I'd like to add two additional types to the psElemType enumeration: PS_TYPE_STR
and PS_TYPE_BOOL. These types are becoming more common within psLib and
addition to the standard enumeration would be helpful.

Where do we stand with this bug? Paul and I wanted to add both, but Eugene
didn't want to add string and wasn't sure about bool. I'll defer to Paul and
Eugene's decision on this, since Eugene had some good arguments also. Please
update the documentation accordingly.

I believe Gene modified the SDRS, so the version sent out at the start of the
cycle should be considered the orthodox view.
