Introduction

Several of IPP people have been having problems with delays in email. I'm running an experiment as follows:

• cron job every hour at :00 from exim4 and my desktop (so the email is user@(computer).ifa.hawaii.edu)
  • sends an email (with date and time) to @gmail
  • sends an email (with date and time) to @ifa
• record the time my gmail account receives the email
• record the time my ifa account receives the email
