List of Plots/ds9 things (as I understand it)
- do plots of the histograms (like in ZoologyInvestigations2) for the same cells for:
- chip stage(how to reprocess)
- warp stage(how to reprocess)
g , r, i, z, y of stack stagehttp://svn.pan-starrs.ifa.hawaii.edu/trac/ipp/wiki/ZoologyInvestigations2- SAS2.123 stacks
- expect g to be dominated the most by faint camera structures. So other bands like i or z should look more like a parabola in logy space.
- do the histograms but mask out burntool (on stacks?)
- do the histograms but mask out all bad (on stacks?)
- do the density plots again (but with log colors -- ask gene how to do it easily in dvo)
- plot the second moments xx vs yy for true and false
- expect true to be a scatter plot
- does false have any pattern?
- lots of detections have 0 moment (!?)
- make region files for SAS2.123 (for any detections)- this will help find areas of the SAS2.123 stacks that have a lot of 'false' detections and areas that have few detections
do the cells with tilty streak correlated with the false detection rate?see http://svn.pan-starrs.ifa.hawaii.edu/trac/ipp/wiki/ZoologyInvestigations2 -- bad cells have bad false detections
- make a list for each cell the number of false positives (are the known bad cells?)
- investigate the false positives with the original cuts, what are they?
- plot sloan stuff in that area
- why were they missed? do they look like stars? do they have high proper motion? are they UFOs?
- make region files from stripe 82 to overlay on ds9 (SAS.footprint)
- histogram of md field (longer exposures)
- check w band and other bands warps/stacks etc to see if it happens
- in g and y make catalogs (no detrending) do we see stuff
- some 3pi images do we see false detections
- try this on a flat (all bands)
- try on skyprobe (http://svn.pan-starrs.ifa.hawaii.edu/trac/ipp/wiki/ZoologySkyprobe)
- try on a dark
- do with md (nightly, different stages)
